Thu 20 Nov to Wed 31 Dec 2014
Christmas Tree Trail
See 28 Christmas Trees!!
Various venues - Sunshine Coast Communities
Sunshine Coast Festive Season Guide 2014/15 PDF will be available here for download from 20 Nov 2014 with the complete Christmas Tree Trail of 28 Christmas Trees lit up across the Coast plus a list of all the festive activities happening across the Sunshine Coast during Christmas & New Year.

Council’s annual Christmas Tree Trail is bigger and better than ever and the community is invited to celebrate the official launch of the festive season on Thurs 20 November 2014.

These are not your average Christmas trees - they range in size and species - from fabulous Figs to pretty Paperbarks, and each will have a unique set of dazzling decorations.

The trail began 4 years ago when council spoke with Sunshine Coast communities about how they celebrate Christmas and what they’d like to see in their region to mark the occasion. Resoundingly, locals asked for Christmas trees to be displayed in places where everyone could enjoy them.

Environmentally friendly Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting features across all of the trees, keeping with council’s vision for the Sunshine Coast to be Australia’s most sustainable region - vibrant, green and diverse.

And look out for the latest scan-code technology to enable passersby to download the story behind the tree with a simple swipe of their iphones and smart phones.
