Maroochy Shire Council Customer Service Centre is located on the corner of Currie St & Bury St. Set back from the road, both the Council Office (open Mon—Fri) & the Nambour Library right next door (open Mon—Sat) are a wealth of local information with “The Nambour, Yandina & Woombye Guide & Map” plus a range of tourist information & plenty of other relevant information on the local area available, which is especially helpful for new residents. And of course, any Nambour business will be happy to assist you with directions.

The Yandina Historic House Information Centre is the closest Information Centre to Nambour if you are heading north & a great place to call in to before you begin to explore the area. The volunteers that staff the Centre are all locals so they can easily point you in the right direction & give you a free copy of “The Nambour, Yandina & Woombye Guide & Map” to help you find your way.

Open 7 days, the Historic House also includes an interesting art gallery & gift shop with historic displays. Once you’ve had a good look around you can sit back & relax on the verandah of this beautifully restored old Queenslander & enjoy sipping a Lavazza cappuccino or indulge in a traditional Devonshire Tea with scones, jam, cream – the works – before heading into the Yandina township or visiting The Ginger Factory, which is right next door.

Nambour Railway Station is in Zone 17 of the TransLink integrated public transport system. It is the terminus for the Nambour trains, with peak-hour & limited services continuing to stations further north.

Nambour Railway Station is also served daily by Travel Train services, including the flagship Queensland Rail Tilt Train to Northern & Central Queensland destinations. Nambour Station is 105 kilometres from Brisbane, situated in Civic Way, Nambour adjacent to the Bus Exchange area. Wheelchair access is available.
